Reading School 2024: Delegate options

The IHBC’s 2024 School offers both in-person and ‘virtual’ options for delegates.

All delegate options include access to the open, free and learning-led virtual Reading School MarketPlace:LEARN (5PM-6.30PM, 12 June 2024).

BEFORE BOOKING PLEASE NOTE:

Terms and Conditions

  1. Be sure to check the arrangements as outlined below, as our ‘in-person’ Reading Full School programme (13-15 June 2024) may have different arrangements to previous Schools. The programme is summarised below.
  2. If you are considering attending the Full School in person, please review your personal travel and accommodation options BEFORE booking your Full School place. Please note that the IHBC School’s refund policy is very strictly observed.
  3. Accommodation is included in the IHBC’s Full School Residential delegate fee. The number of reserved places in our hotel, the Ibis Reading Centre on 25A Friar St, Reading RG1 1DP, is VERY limited so early booking for these is essential. Non-residential delegates are free to choose accommodation to suit their own needs, including at the Ibis.
  4. The Day School (14 June) options include in-person attendance – with numbers strictly limited and allocated on a ‘first booking’ basis - as well as digital access for ‘virtual’ or ‘online’ delegates. We appreciate that virtual participation brings special challenges even as it extends access. Breaks in programme broadcasts and access to recorded sessions after the School are designed to encourage flexible participation by our online delegates.
  5. Digital access to the Day School (14 June) is included for all ‘in person’ delegates, offering more flexible participation options within the programme.
  6. The IHBC-recognised, CPD-certificated and learning-led virtual Reading School MarketPlace:LEARN (5PM-6.30PM, 12 June) is included in all delegate options. This offers dedicated ‘Zoom Rooms’ offering specialist and informal advice and guidance from a wide range of Zoom Room hosts, with details to be circulated closer to the date.
  7. All delegate options offer substantial and cost-effective IHBC-recognised and certified CPD hours.
  8. Please be sure to have appropriate insurance cover in place for all expenses as refunds are strictly limited.
  9. Please also remember that, if joining tours you follow the guidance on clothing etc.
  10. General updates on the School will be advertised on our NewsBlogs service, so please be sure you sign up HERE.
  11. We do hope that in 2024 the pandemic uncertainties of previous years are behind us but the School’s arrangements will still be dictated by circumstances and an approach to risk appropriate to the IHBC as a small charity. All arrangements may necessarily be subject to change or even cancellation in line with feasibility, regulations and guidance.
  12. Cancellation fees:
    • Before 12 May - 60% refund
    • On or after 12 May - No refund
All cancellations must be made in writing.
  13. IHBC Enterprises gives no assurance that the details provided are accurate and that final changes won't be required to the Annual School programme, including speakers, the order of the speakers, the content of their contributions or the study tours.
