Describe the work your company carries out

Weiser Heritage Consultancy provides expert, personalised heritage planning advice tailored to meet your project's goals while aligning with planning policy and conservation requirements. Whether your project is a listed building, adjacent to a heritage asset, within a conservation area, or scheduled monument, I would love to discuss your project with you and see how I can help you achieve your goals. I work closely with homeowners, architects, contractors, developers and custodians of historic buildings to provide heritage advice and guidance to navigate the planning system and manage change while preserving the character and significance of the heritage asset.

Give examples of up to three projects you have undertaken

Pastures Farm, Caxton: private client, the proposal was for alterations and extensions to the NDHA for which we wrote a historic impact assessment (HIA) report to accompany the planning application. The building was not listed nor in a conservation area, but it was a building of local interest located within a scheduled monument and adjacent a listed building. The proposal was granted consent. https://www.weiserheritageconsultancy.co.uk/post/scheduled-monument-consent-granted

2 Home End, Fulbourn: Private client, listed building in a conservation area, owner had carried out unauthorised works (panels on a modern garage and a charging point on the listed building), I brought in a planning consultant to manage the planning application, brought in an architect and wrote the heritage report. The project was granted retrospective consent.

77-79 Grimwade Street, Ipswich: Listed buildings within a conservation area, conversion of building from offices to several flats, granted both planning and listed building consent. I was involved with the heritage part of the project working in collaboration with the architects and planning consultants, drafting the heritage statement.
