Since 2013 the IHBC has hosted its annual 'Conservation Course Connection Days' as a support event for students; graduates and undergraduates representing conservation-related courses across the UK.
The IHBC's 'Connection Days' welcome students from a wide variety of courses, but priority is offered to those courses with content 'recognised' by the IHBC for its compliance with the institute's model skills sets for built and historic environment conservation specialists.
At each Course Connection Day delegates are offered a programme of conservation review, networking - in particular with IHBC staff and consultants - and introductions to specialist, practice-based training resources, both inside and outside the IHBC.
- Travel and related expenses are paid to the student delegates, who are nominated by their fellow students and agreed by their course director or equivalent. Those attending are required to report back to their fellow students on the content and resources offered on the day, following process again agreed by the course director.
