Aberdeen School 2022: Access options for delegates

The IHBC’s 2022 School offers both in-person and ‘virtual’ options for delegates to participate, all necessarily subject change or even cancellation in line with feasibility, regulations and guidance.

In 2022, with the uncertainties of the pandemic, the School’s arrangements for delegates are shaped by circumstances and an approach to risk appropriate to the IHBC as a small charity.

BEFORE BOOKING PLEASE NOTE:

  1. Be sure to check the arrangements as outlined below, as our ‘in-person’ Aberdeen Full School programme (16-18 June) is different from Schools before the pandemic. The programme is summarised below.
  2. If you are considering attending the Full School in person, please review your personal travel and accommodation options BEFORE booking your Full School place. Please note that travel costs and times can be substantial and subject to change, and the IHBC School’s refund policy is necessarily very strictly observed.
  3. Accommodation is NOT included in the IHBC’s Full School delegate fee.
  4. Digital access to the Day School (17 June) is included for all ‘in person’ delegates, offering more flexible participation options within the programme.
  5. The Day School (17 June) options include in-person attendance, with numbers strictly limited and allocated on a ‘first booking’ basis - as well as digital access. We appreciate also that virtual participation by online delegates brings special challenges. Breaks in programme broadcasts and access to recorded sessions after the School are designed to encourage flexible and managed participation by our online delegates..
  6. The IHBC-recognised, CPD-certificated and learning-led virtual Aberdeen School MarketPlace (4.30-7.30PM, 15 June) is included in all delegate options. This includes the chance to enjoy ‘Happy Hour with the IHBC’, from 5.30-6.30, with informal chat among officers and others online, as well as your own choice of refreshments.
  7. Any delegate option you choose offers substantial and cost-effective IHBC-recognised and certified CPD hours.
  8. Arrangements and access options may change as guidance and circumstances dictate. Notice of and access to any new options for participation will be prioritised by earliest booking dates.
  9. Be sure to have appropriate insurance cover in place for all expenses as refunds are strictly limited.
  10. General updates on the School will be advertised on our NewsBlogs service, so please be sure you are signed up there.
