Inspiring Heritage for All

3-4 October 2017
Guildhall, Kingstone upon-Hull
The theme of day one is Inclusive heritage, welcoming diversity and we will explore what diversity means for the built heritage sector. Our speakers will offer strategic direction about ways heritage organisations can build inclusion and access into their projects, and you’ll hear inspiring practical case studies about projects and organisations who are delivering inclusive community engagement practice with a wide range of different audiences.
On day two, our theme is Place-led heritage schemes and our speakers will be talking about the variety of current place-led heritage schemes across the UK and their approaches to tackling economic decline and empowering communities. We will think about what place-making means, partnership-working between building preservation trusts and local authorities, and hear about how communities themselves approach regeneration in the place they call home.
